Esfandiar Monfaredzadeh: the sound beneath the story
You’ve heard him in Gheysar, Dash Akol, Reza Motori The music hits before the story does. It curls around your ear like a whisper before the first punch is thrown, the first tear falls, the first cigarette lights. In an interview, he tells the story of where it all began. Farzad Ghadimi and Saeed Dehghan drop ‘Rasmi’, no skip
I first encountered Farzad Ghadimi nearly three years ago, when his debut single Shelik burst forth like a sudden spark in the dark. That track wasn’t merely a promising start—it was a declaration. From the opening bars, it was clear that a distinctive new voice had emerged in Persian rap, one that refused to be…

The Profound Effect of Memories On Our Subconscious

Memories have a profound impact on our subconscious mind. Feelings, beliefs, and thoughts are rooted in our past; Humans are influenced by experience. Our dreams can tell a lot about our past. The rise of dreams from memories and the enigmatic essence of dreams is the basis of a collection called “Dreams”.

In this long-term series, Mehdi Sharafi searches through his memories. Reviewing his photo archive, he found that his dreams are among those photos that he took without any specific goal.

In this collection, the photographer is trying to focus on the concept rather than reality and color. The frames are like negative films that have been developed in a wrong way . Making negatives of pictures created a hallucinatory atmosphere, plus it could convey the feeling of a dream.

Mehdi said that the fact that he could create an imaginary atmosphere full of ambiguity, was enjoyable.

This collection would leave us with questions without a clear answer, just like dreams.
